Debian on the Thinkpad X31

The central repository for my trials with Debian on the Thinkpad X31.

This page is where I'll either put, or link to, lessons learned in the installation and maintenance of Debian GNU/Linux on my Thinkpad X31. One about the mouse cursor has already been put up, and there are many more to come.

Every six months or so I feel the need to wipe the slate clean and reinstall everything. The feeling's coming on again, and I promise to use this page to keep a better record of things than I have in the past. All I have to do is first burn some photos and a few valuable configuration files to a CD using the Lite-On external DVD R/RW drive I picked up.

Update 2006-05-16: Still haven't reinstalled everything, but decided to recompile the kernel.

Update 2006-05-17: And now the printer is working.

Update 2006-07-03: Picked up a Venus DS3 enclosure and hard drive from Newegg.

Update 2006-10-03: See the install notes from the reinstall.
